Based on the agency's data, there were five embankments collapsed and three embankments eroded in South Jakarta. This was caused by high water levels in several rivers and connecting canals following heavy rains over the past few days.
Agency's Secretary, Hendri, admitted his side has deployed teams to all those embankments.
According to him, the South Jakarta Water Resources has run emergency response by building temporary embankments using sandbags to hold back water runoff.
Then the dolken wood and sandbags were also installed.
